GLOBALPORT shooting guard Joseph Yeo brushed off team owner Mikee Romero's rant on social media last Friday slamming his players as 'girls in a men's league,' saying it's only the passionate exec's ways of firing up the Batang Pier.

After GlobalPort lost to Alaska in Game Three and fell behind 1-3 in their semifinal series of the Smart Bro-PBA Philippine Cup, Romero vented his frustration on his Facebook account, saying “To our globalport batang pier fans: no excuses, the team is just choking period. Our team is playing like a bunch of girls in a men's league. #nopridetofight."

But Yeo didn't take offense. Neither did he take on personally, insisting the rant is only Romero's way of motivating the team.

"May mga sinasabi naman si boss sa Facebook niya, nababasa ko, pero it's just his way para ma-motivate kami. Iba iba naman ang way (ng mga team owners) 'di ba?" Yeo told Spin.ph.

Romero has since deleted his controversial post.

For the former La Salle star, he'll take his boss' words as a challenge as they try bounce back after losing the last three games since winning Game One of the best-of-seven series to fall behind, 1-3.

"Alam mo naman 'yung boss namin, very passionate with our team. I'm sure tsina-challenge niya lang 'yung mga players," he said.

"Ako, I have nothing against him. Naging boss ko na 'yan sa amateur pa lang nothing personal naman kay boss Mikee. Very hands on siya sa team kaya affected siya pag natatalo. For me ok lang, positive lang," he added.
