AS expected, NLEX elevated 3x3 top man Jorey Napoles to its 5-on-5 team in time for its PBA Philippine Cup game against TNT in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
The 6-foot-4 Napoles was added to the active roster in place of rookie Edgar Charcos, who was relegated to the unrestricted free agent list with rights to salary.
The stint marks the return of the 30-year-old veteran to the 5-on-5 game for the first time since the 2020 Philippine Cup bubble in Clark, Pampanga.
He then suited up for Limitless Apps – the 3x3 team of Phoenix – and for Cavitex for the past two years in the PBA 3x3.

In between, he played for the Gilas Pilipinas men’s 3x3 team that bagged the bronze medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam along with Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Marvin Hayes, and Reymar Caduyac.
Napoles now gives NLEX added heft and height in the middle as it tries to boost its bid to finish in the Top 2 and enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage come the playoffs of the season-ending conference.
