PHOENIX has signed up Jorey Napoles and Ron Dennison to separate one-year rookie deals, team officials confirmed.
Napoles, a product of Technological Institute of the Philippines, was a surprise first-rounder when he was picked 12th and last in the recent PBA draft while Dennison was selected 11th in the second round.
Prior to the draft, Napoles already made a big impression on Phoenix scouts when he was invited to join practices, showcasing skills not common among 6-foot-4 players.
Dennison, meanwhile, is expected to contribute on defense - his biggest strength since his days with University of Visayas and Far Eastern University in college.
