JORDAN Heading is aware of the online chatter about the trade that he was involved in when Converge gave him up to TNT for Mikey Williams last June.
The trade, according to several fans, was a lopsided win for TNT just for the fact that Heading has been playing for the Tropang 5G in contrast to Williams, who up until now hasn’t showed up for the FiberXers.
When asked about the online discussions, Heading isn’t thinking too much about the trade since all is part of the business of professional basketball, although he also hopes that some people cut Converge some slack with their decision to make the move.

“I’ve seen a couple of things. Some people sent me some stuff sometimes. But to be honest, it’s hard for me to take my concentration away from anything else that is happening right now,” Heading told SPIN.ph on Monday after the PBA finals press conference.
TNT is set to play San Miguel in the 50th Season Philippine Cup finals beginning on Wednesday where he is aiming to win his first PBA title again after losing to the Beermen last season.
While he is now with TNT, the 29-year-old Heading remains grateful for his time with Converge, the team that he played for after his signing rights was acquired by Terrafirma in exchange of Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and a future draft pick.
He also understands why the FiberXers made the trade especially during a time where he was dealing with a back injury, and an opportunity to get a talented player such as Williams.

“I had a really fun time there with guys that love the game. It was a joy to be able to kinda lead them,” Heading said.
“It’s tough for them at the same time. I was facing that back injury. I think there were a lot of question mark in terms of where I was at and how my body was. I do think people need to give the management a little bit of a break in terms of people just thinking they gave me away,” he continued.
“If you remember, Game 2 of the quarters that we lost, I think I had three points. I couldn’t really move. I don’t know, maybe I played in the management’s head a little bit. I don’t know. It’s tough. But you’ve got to respect having the possibility of getting Mikey is tempting as well. So there’s no hard feelings for me,” he added. “They are going to do what they are going to do. I understand it’s business."
The focus of Heading is at the present which is the Tropang 5G’s bid to capture the crown against the Beermen.
“This series is huge. Anything else that happened in the past is in the past. From where I’m at right now, I’m just thankful. I’m thankful for my life. I’m thankful for what’s going on and what has happened."
