LOOKS like Jordan Adams will be here to stay.
Adams made a rousing return to San Miguel, finishing with 49 points in its rout of Phoenix, 139-127, on Friday in the PBA 49th Season Governors’ Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Adams’ huge outing came on the heels of being re-activated following his replacement by Sheldon Mac for just one game.
Still, the SMB import didn’t miss a beat as they improved to 5-2 in Group B.

Phoenix remained winless after seven games, no thanks to Adams’ explosion where he nearly matched his 50-point outing during his second game of the conference against Blackwater last August 25.
Adams shot 16-of-27 from the field including a perfect 2-of-2 from fours, and 4-of-7 from threes, while also grabbing 11 rebounds.

CJ Perez had 23 points and seven assists, while June Mar Fajardo had 22 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists for San Miguel, which has now won three straight games.
“I’m very happy that they are picking up their games already and gaining their confidence back,” said Beermen coach Jorge Gallent.
Marcio Lassiter had 16 points and made five threes, moving him two shy of tying Jimmy Alapag (1,250) for most in league history.
The combined scoring of both teams (266) is the highest over the last two seasons since NLEX defeated Terrafirma, 142-125 (267) during the Governors' Cup on March 2, 2023, according to the research of PBA league statistics chief Fidel Mangonon.
Brandone Francis poured in another offensive explosion with 48 points of his own for the Fuel Masters, but still in a defeat. Jason Perkins had 18 points and seven rebounds as they are now on the brink of being eliminated from playoff contention.
