TERRENCE Jones’ focus is on TNT’s final push to win the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals despite a report that the KaTropa import will rejoin the Houston Rockets in the NBA.

The Athletic reported the development in a mailbag story with beat writer Kelly Iko describing Jones as a “soon to be” player for the Rockets. The development means Jones will be back to the team that drafted him 18th overall in the 2012 NBA draft.

Jones played for the Rockets until 2016, and again in 2019 after suiting up for the New Orleans Pelicans from 2016 to 2017 and the Milwaukee Bucks in 2017.

Jones, however, said he is not focused on his reported return to the NBA as he is determined to bring TNT a championship after the KaTropa beat Barangay Ginebra, 103-92, in Game Four of the Commissioner’s Cup semifinals.

“You know, I’m not really focused on that,” said Jones. “As a player playing in the championship, I can only focus on the task at hand and that’s winning the championship here.”

The Kentucky had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, his fifth triple double this conference. Jones has also become the favorite to win the Best Import award after leading TNT to the finals.

With Jones leading the way, TNT moves closer to the conference title it last won in 2015.

“We feel that we have to fight for each other and make sure to have something that hasn’t happened for a long time,” Jones said.
