JOHNNY Abarrientos was slapped with a P10,000 fine for the obscene gesture toward Converge import Jamaal Franklin.
The penalty was made after PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial talked to the Magnolia deputy coach a day after the incident that marred the Governors Cup game between Magnolia and Converge.

The legendary cager deeply regrets his action and apologized on the matter.
"Sobrang apolegetic siya," said Marcial of his conversation with Abarrientos.
Marcial talked to Abarrientos on Monday to get his side on the incident that took place in the final 65 seconds of the highly-physical and highly-emotional game which Converge won, 111-109.
Franklin just converted on a buzzer-beating three that extended the FiberXers' lead to 111-105.
As Magnolia sued for timeout, Abarrientos was caught by TV camera poking a dirty finger while Franklin was passing by the Hotshots' bench.
Abarrientos, the 1996 MVP and one of the 25 Greatest Players in the PBA, said it was a spur of the moment thing, according to Marcial.
"Bugso lang daw ng damdamin. Kaya very apologetic siya," added the commissioner.
