JOHN Amores has been diligently taking part in the tryouts for a spot in the Titan Ultra Giant Risers lineup ahead of the PBA Governors' Cup.
Exactly like he wants it.
“Marami nga po nagsasabi bakit kailangan ko mag-try out pwede naman daw ako dumiretso na sa management and just ask to revive my contract.
“Bagong buhay, bagong kabanata ng career,” added the 51st overall pick by the Northport Batang Pier in the 2023 PBA Draft before it was bought by Titan Ultra.

Playing for Northport before he was suspended indefinitely for a gun-shooting incident following an unsanctioned game in Laguna, Amores averaged 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in his only two seasons in the pro league.
What makes Amores even more regretful was his stats being on an upward trend at 5.1 points, 1.6 rebounds in 12.2 minutes of action as an important role player for coach Bonnie Tan at NorthPort before the Laguna incident happened.
Kaso ganun po talaga, kailangang pagbayaran ang lahat,” he said.

Asked about his thoughts on his chances, Amores bared he isn't looking past the tryouts, same way he has already moved on from his voided Northport contract, which could have run until October 2026.
“Ayaw ko po munang isipin na lamang ako sa ibang nag ta try-out o mas may experience na ako lalo po at puro bata ang players ng Titan Ultra. Kasi po gusto kong maging patas sa lahat,” said the former JRU Heavy Bombers standout.
Kaya sana po matutunan rin nila akong tanggapin muli,” he said.
Among the other wingmen in the line-up of Titan Ultra are King Caralipio, Jerrick Balanza, Von Pessumal and star Joshua Munzon.
