JOE Devance of Barangay Ginebra said he will be out for at least a month due to a stress fracture in his left foot.
Devance bared the bad news on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
“It saddens me to say that I’ll be out for at least another month due to my stress fracture in my foot,” said Devance.
Ginebra is already missing the services of several key players led by Greg Slaughter, who is still out due to an ankle injury. Japeth Aguilar also missed games due to a pulled muscle but is expected to return soon.
Devance said he was asked by doctors to stop playing after tests revealed the stress fracture. The Ginebra veteran said he has been in pain since the Commissioner’s Cup.
“I had pain in my foot since last conference, didn’t realized it was stress fracture. Doctor told me to stop or else it will get worse,” said Devance.
Devance finished his Instagram by apologizing to the Ginebra fans as he hopes for a speedy recovery.
