JIMMY Alapag is the newest member of the San Miguel Beermen.
The PBA great was unveiled as the latest addition to coach Leo Austria's staff on Thursday during the team's practice at Acropolis Greens.
Alapag is head coach for San Miguel Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League, leading the Philippine squad to the championship last season.
He was also a former assistant to Tab Baldwin in Gilas Pilipinas and also served as an assistant team manager for TNT after wrapping up his playing career with the KaTropa and Meralco.
Alapag joins an already loaded coaching staff for the Beermen which includes deputy Peter Martin, Dayong Mendoza, Boycie Zamar, Biboy Ravanes, Jorge Gallent, and Ato Agustin.
San Miguel also formally introduced Terrence Romeo to the team as the flamboyant guard attends his first session as a Beerman since getting traded from TNT in exchange for Brian Heruela, David Semerad, and a future first round pick.
