AFTER six years, it’s a Philippine homecoming again for PBA great Jimmy Alapag.
The 48-year-old Fil-Am guard arrived in the country on Monday, as per SPIN.ph sources, and was welcomed by no less than PLDT chairman and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan.
Alapag, who recently parted ways with the Sacramento Kings where he was player development coach for three seasons, is scheduled to be presented in a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon - the same day the NLEX team was told last week about the possibility of a 'major announcement' by management.

As to whether he will be the next coach of the Road Warriors or initially serve as consultant before transitioning into full-time coaching remains to be seen.
But the contract of head coach Jong Uichico, who is now with Gilas Pilipinas in Auckland, New Zealand, already expired last June 15.
NLEX will have a tune-up game against Blackwater at the Epsilon Chi Center at the University of the Philippines at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Will the former PBA and Gilas Pilipinas star and Meralco deputy coach, who left with his entire family to migrate to the US in 2020, show up and join his third PBA team under the MVP group?
