MERALCO is set to field in Jimmie Taylor for its game against TNT on Saturday.
The Bolts' social media accounts shared the news, with Gani Lawal being placed in the injured/reserve list.
The 23-year-old Taylor is a 6-foot-9 center out of University of Alabama, who has suited up for Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G-League, Panionios in Greece, and most recently, Spojnia Spargard in Poland.
He averaged 10.75 points, 8.38 rebounds, and 1.38 blocks in his eight games in the Polish Basketball League.
He will momentarily take the place of Lawal, who is averaging 28.5 points and 22.0 rebounds through six games for Meralco.
The Bolts currently sit on an even 3-3 standing in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
