IMPORT Stacy Davis hopes to settle down with TnT Katropa after plunging into action in the PBA Governors Cup just a day after arriving in the country.
Davis obviously played with heavy legs in the team’s 104-98 loss to Blackwater in overtime Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“Obviously first game, I only had one practice in. I’m just trying to get used to how you guys play here,” said the 23-year-old product of Pepperdine University.
“Personally, I feel good. A little banged up here but it’s something I can get over.”
Davis finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds in his first game as a replacement for Mike Glover. He struggled from the field on 9-of-26 shooting, including 2-of-8 from three-point range as the Katropa fell to a 1-2 record.
He looks forward to contributing more once he finally gets accustomed to coach Nash Racela’s system.
“I get to practice tomorrow (Saturday) and I think we’ll make a lot of adjustments,” he said.
Davis plays his second game with the Katropa on Sunday against Alaska, by which time import is positive he’ll be in a better shape than he was against the Elite.
“Hope we can come up with the ‘W’ and kind of go from there,” said the TnT import.
