JERVY Cruz's reunion with former college coach Pido Jarencio proved shortlived.
Just months after joining Jarencio at GlobalPort in a trade with Rain or Shine, the former University of Santo Tomas star found himself on the move again when he was sent to Barako Bull in a one-on-one trade for Rico Maierhofer.
Cruz has not played a single game under his former UST mentor at GlobalPort, which acquired him from Rain or Shine on August 17 by giving up fellow big man Jewel Ponferrada and a future second-round pick.

Now the undersized power forward is joining a Barako Bull side very much in need of size after five trades in the offseason left the minnows with a surplus of guards.
On the other hand, Maierhofer will be adding size to a vastly improved GlobalPort frontline that already includes Dorian Pena, Doug Kramer and Billy Mamaril.
