CANDON, Ilocos Sur - Terrafirma guard Jerrick Ahanmisi came up with an awe-inspiring shooting performance to beat San Miguel top gun Marcio Lassiter and crown himself the PBA's new three-point king on Friday night.
Ahanmisi ruled the Obstacle Challenge for guards in 24.44 seconds then returned moments later to qualify for the finals of the three-point shootout with 25 points in the prelims, joining Lassiter and Converge rookie Juan Gomez de Liano.

Lassiter, the PBA record-holder in career three-pointers, looked to have wrapped up his first-ever three-point shootout title when he scored 25 points in the final highlighted by a stretch of nine consecutive made treys.
Ahanmisi, however, came up with a performance to remember that included a sweep of the money-ball rack to complete a rare double in the PBA Skills Challenge of the league's All-Star Weekend at the Candon Arena.
The 28-year old first-round pick of Magnolia in the 2020 PBA draft turned emotional after the win, looking up and wiping away tears of joy to mark one of the rare highlights of the pro career of the former Adamson Falcons star.
