WORK goes on for Jeron Teng after a disappointing D-League stint as he prepares for the PBA Draft.
Teng was frustrated not to end the stint in the developmental league with a title as Flying V fizzled out, exiting at the semifinal stage after completing a sweep of the eliminations.
But now the former La Salle star puts that behind him to focus on the next phase of his career.
"Siguro itong time na meron ako, I'll work on my individual skills ... Yun lang para mas lalo ako maprepare pagdating sa PBA," he said.
"Yung consistent na wino-work ko naman is outside shooting. I've been trying to improve my outside shooting. I'll work on my individual skills. Dribbling, mga basic, shooting, mga pwede ko pa i-add sa game ko."
Teng says the Thunder learned from the losses — two straight after stringing 11 consecutive wins — and will make them better players.
"Sayang kasi nasweep namin yung elims, unfortunately we fell short in the semis. Sayang lang dahil alam namin na we could've achieved more," said Teng.
"Pero we just don’t know what happened. I think in basketball it just happens, and we just have to learn from it. This experience will help us become better individual players and help us more mature."
