JEROM Lastimosa will finally don the Magnolia uniform in the PBA 49th Season Commissioner’s Cup after being listed in the Hotshots’ roster for the new conference.
The No. 9 pick in the Season 49 draft will get to play for the Hotshots after recovering from an ACL injury while with his college team Adamson in the UAAP.
Lastimosa logged games during Magnolia’s tune-ups, proving that he is fit and ready to finally make his PBA debut after missing the entire Governors’ Cup.

Magnolia coach Chito Victolero sees the former Falcon as having a significant role with the Hotshots after they lost Jio Jalalon in a trade with NorthPort prior to the season.
“I think ‘yung guard rotation namin, mas deep,” said Victolero. We waited for Jerom for one conference. Nung nawala si Jio, medyo umikli (rotation). Right now, we have another elite guard who can help us. I think Jerom will be ready for this conference.”
Lastimosa will be part of the Magnolia backcourt that includes Mark Barroca, Paul Lee, Jerrick Balanza, and fellow rookie Peter Alfaro.
Magnolia will open the Commissioner’s Cup on Thursday against Blackwater at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
