Fil-Am Caelan Tiongson of Biola University is also among the draft applicants.

Alfaro deferred applying in last year’s draft despite playing for TNT Tropang Giga during the PBA On Tour together with fellow Red Lions Clifford Jopia, Damie Cuntapay, and JV Gallego.

Jopia and Cuntapay applied for the draft and were picked by Blackwater and Terrafirma, respectively. The 6-foot-8 Jopia was signed by the Bossing, while Cuntapay, a 6-foot-5 banger who can shoot from long range, ended up playing for Northport.

But Alfaro, a Zamboanga native, kept himself in perfect playing condition by playing for the Valientes.

The San Beda stalwart serves as the starting point guard of Zamboanga, which just fell short of beating Pola Pilipinas for the Leg 3 title of the fledgling, regional meet.
