JERICHO Cruz said he’s ready to play for Rain or Shine in Game Four of the Smart Bro-PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series against San Miguel, but the final decision rests on coach Yeng Guiao.
“As for me I’m ready to play because I just found out my MRI is clear,” said the shooting guard out of Adamson after joining the team in the shootaround prior to the 7 p.m. game on Monday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“Pero depende kay coach Yeng. I’m just waiting kung palalaruin niya ako.”
Cruz said he hyper-extended his knee after he fell on the floor following a hard bump by Marcio Lassiter in the final five seconds of Game Three Saturday night which the Elasto Painters won, 111-106.
The sophomore guard was wheeled out of the Big Dome on a stretcher, and had his MRI at the Cardinal Santos hospital.
Cruz said there is still some pain on the knee, but is manageable enough for him to play.
“Konti lang (pain) sa likod kasi hyperextended siya, pero kakayanin ko naman,” he said.
The Elasto Painters currently lead the series, 2-1.
