BIG man Jeo Ambohot is hoping to give his PBA career a badly-needed reboot.
Now an unrestricted free agent, the 6-foot-7 Letran alumnus is looking to crack the TNT Tropang 5G roster at the resumption of the Season 50 Governors’ Cup.
Ambohot’s previous contract with Titan Ultra has expired and the franchise decided not to give him a contract extension as the team looks to rebuild its lineup as early as the remainder of this season.

The 29-year-old Ambohot is one of three players recently let go by the Giant Risers along with Jerrick Balanza and Damie Cuntapay.
Expectations were high on the stretch 4 from Davao City after being selected by Converge as the first-ever draft pick in franchise history, landing at No. 3 overall during the Season 47 draft, ahead of former FiberXers teammate Justin Arana and Gian Mamuyac, previously of Rain or Shine and now with Phoenix.
He came to the pro league carrying glowing credentials that had him winning back-to-back NCAA men’s basketball championships with the Knights, including a Finals MVP in his final year with the Muralla-based school.
Unfortunately, he failed to make a mark in his three-year stint with the FiberXers that saw him play under coaches Jeff Cariaso, Aldin Ayo, and Franco Atienza.

Just before the start of Season 50, Converge moved Ambohot to Titan Ultra in a three-team trade that also involved Phoenix and the rights to Larry Muyang and Evan Nelle.
But the same thing happened with the Giant Risers as he was likewise hardly utilized by the team, averaging just 1.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in his final conference with the franchise.
