JEFF Chan is eager to contribute to Barangay Ginebra even as he admits he is still not a hundred percent healthy.
Chan went scoreless after playing for 10 minutes in his return from injury and Barangay Ginebra bowed to TNT in Game Two of the Commissioner’s Cup semifinals.
It was his first game back since sustaining an ankle injury after stepping on the foot of Blackwater big man James Sena in their elimination round game on May 24.
Chan said he is still adjusting, but is ready to play in Game Three.
“Not 100 percent pero okay naman,” Chan said. “Nakakatakbo na at nakakagalaw ng maayos. Siyemre kasi bigla akong sabak sa semis. Sundot lang.”
Chan’s presence should come in handy for a Barangay Ginebra squad that made just five triples in Game Two, compared to 16 by TNT.
Chan said he will do his best to contribute for Game Three with the Gin Kings one defeat away from elimination.
“Kailangan ma-stop ‘yung outside shooting nila, ‘yun talaga tumatalo sa amin. Sa offense naman, mas gumalaw ‘yung bola at marami maka-contribute,” said Chan.
