PHOENIX will be without one of its top guns when it stakes its unbeaten record in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday.
Veteran JC Intal will sit out the Fuel Masters' 4:30 pm encounter against the NLEX Road Warriors at the Mall of Asia Arena due to a fractured left hand.
At the most, Intal could be out for about a month depending on how quick the injury heals.
The 35-year-old wingman suffered the injury in the Fuel Masters' last outing against Blackwater Elite, which they won, 114-95.
The injured hand has since been put in a cast.
Intal going down with the injury came at a time when Phoenix is enjoying the finest season start in franchise history by winning its first four games in the conference to pace the standings in the All-Filipino conference.
