Brownlee reunited with his son Jye, who arrived from the United States to watch his father play in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup finals.
Jye's arrival in Manila was a surprise for Brownlee, according to a source.

The younger Brownlee was seen crying as he ran towards his father and hugged him upon his arrival at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum for Game 2.
Brownlee was coming off a 23-point night in Game 1 where he scored a game-winning shot with 0.6 seconds left on their way to a 102-100 win.
