FOR the first time in three years, there will no TNT in the PBA playoffs.

The KaTropa’s campaign in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup ended in disappointment as they lost to Ginebra, 112-93, missing out on a chance to vie for a playoff for the eighth spot in the quarterfinals.

It was the first time TNT will not be playing in the postseason since the 2015 Governors’ Cup.

The campaign was marred by a coaching change in which Nash Racela was replaced by Bong Ravena with the KaTropa also hiring New Zealander Mark Dickel as active consultant.

TNT veteran Jayson Castro admitted the KaTropa still needs more time to get accustomed to the new system of Ravena and Dickel.

Castro said he is also saddened about the entire season in which the KaTropa failed to land a semifinal spot.

“I think, etong season na ‘to, hindi man lang kami umabot sa semis. Siyempre, nakakalungkot kasi last season, lagi kaming semis and then, nakapasok kami ng finals,” said Castro.

The TNT point guard could only hope that the KaTropa will have a better season next year.

“Hopefully, next season makabawi kami kasi sobrang nakakahiya na -- before contender kami and then ngayon lagi kaming out.
