JAYSON Castro feels he should involve his Talk ‘N Text teammates more for the rest of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals against Rain or Shine.
The Tropang Texters superstar exploded for 44 points, but all went for naught as the Tropang Texters suffered a 116-108 defeat against the Elasto Painters in Game Two on Friday night, tying the best-of-seven title series at 1-1.
“Sana konti na lang na-iskor ko, para nanalo pa kami,” pondered Castro, who dished out three assists in 35 minutes.
“Siguro next game, mas-i-involve ko teammates ko, kasi kapag ako lang, naka-focus sila sa akin,” he added.
The guard out of Philippine Christian University also admitted the Tropang Texters let their guards down a bit after establishing a 17-point lead in the first half in which he scored 27 points.
“Kala namin after halftime tapos na, so nag-relax kami,” admitted the frontrunner in the the Best Player of the Conference award.
“Siguro going to this series, yung mind namin sobrang relaxed kasi alam namin kaya namin sila,” he added as his team came in with an eight-game winning streak against the Elasto Painters.
“At least, maganda yung natalo kami para ma-realize namin na top team rin sila in this league.”
