The 39-year-old Castro said he is definitely not playing in the finals since he is not part of the playoff roster, and was only doing pre-game work as part of his recovery.

Castro said he has been doing court work for a couple of weeks now, and even joined TNT practices during the playoffs.
“During practice, lahat naman ‘to, ginagawa ko.
While he definitely preferred not getting hurt, Castro said he also felt rejuvenated as he was able to rest.
“Parang bumata,” he stated with a smile. “Nakapag-pahinga ako. Almost 17 years, eto ‘yung pinakamatagal na pahinga ko. At least, naka-recover ‘yung body ko. Excited uli maglaro.”
As for the current Philippine Cup finals, Castro said that TNT is definitely the underdog in the series, with a long series favoring his longtime team.
“Sana umabot ng Game 7. Mabigyan kami ng chance na manalo,” said Castro.
