IT seems Jayjay Helterbrand will have one more ride with Mark Caguioa and the rest of Ginebra.
The 40-year-old playmaker is expected to sign a one-year contract extension with the Gin Kings following their Governors’ Cup title conquest.
"He will be back, he will sign for another year," Gin Kings coach Tim Cone said after his exit meeting with some players including Helterbrand on Friday at Upper Deck gym.

“He is ready to play,” the champion coach added of the former league MVP. “I think he is gonna help in the buildup.”
Helterbrand earlier hinted of retirement, but showed he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level, highlighted by 11 points in the fourth quarter of their Game Four win that proved to be the turning point of the series against Meralco.
Helterbrand is expected to meet with management soon.
“They still need to talk, I think his contract will expire in the next couple of days but the intention on both sides is the same, so I expect it to be done,” Cone said.
