JAVEE Mocon has signed a one-year extension with NLEX.
The 6-foot-3 player inked the new deal on Thursday at the NLEX office in Balintawak while on a solid showing this conference averaging 9.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists through six matches with the Road Warriors.
The former San Beda player is also becoming one of the leaders of the Road Warriors, who have been on a roll in the Philippine Cup with a 5-1 win-loss record at the time of Mocon’s signing.
“After a year with us, Javee is really starting to blossom into becoming one of our leaders,” said NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre of Mocon, who was acquired by NLEX in a trade with Phoenix last September in exchange for Ato Ular and a PBA Season 51 second-round draft pick.
“I’m really happy and grateful for this contract extension with NLEX,” said the 30-year-old native of Guagua, Pampanga. “I think it shows the direction we’re headed and the culture we’re building here.”
“NLEX already feels like family—especially with so many of my fellow San Beda Red Lions around,” said Mocon.
