JASON Webb has been appointed as the new team governor of Magnolia.
This was confirmed by San Miguel sports director Alfrancis Chua in an interview with reporters before the Gilas Pilipinas tuneup game against Macau Black Bears.
The longtime assistant of Chito Victolero replaces Rene Pardo, who has retired, in a raft of changes highlighted by LA Tenorio's ascension to the head-coaching job.

The 51-year-old Webb once coached Magnolia from 2014 to 2015, and became an assistant following the appointment of Victolero as head coach.
Chua said Webb, his former player when he was the coach of Stag Pale Pilsen in the defunct PBL, and later Tanduay in the PBA, fits the bill as the team’s representative in the PBA board.
“Malaking bagay sa team dahil ‘yung inputs niya, actually isa siya sa mga nag-input noon sa COVID, nung nag-lockdown tayo, naglaro tayo ng lockdown,” said Chua.
“He’s a good leader. Very good leader,” he added.
