MERALCO forward Jared Dillinger hasn't really been productive as far as scoring is concerned in the PBA Governors' Cup finals against Ginebra.
But what he lacks in offensive production, Dillinger makes up with the intangibles in a championship series that has been nothing short of epic.
The Fil-Am cager said there are other ways he can do to help the team win its first title since entering the league in 2010.
"I'm not trying to go out there and prove that I can score," Dillinger, who was limited to nine points in the 98-91 Meralco victory in Game 6, said after their last practice for the season at the Meralco Gym on Thursday.
"We're winning the way we're winning right now and that's how we need to keep it. I don’t have any personal goals to prove out there just because I didn't play well."
What he's hell-bent on doing when the two teams meet in Game 7 on Friday is to help make things hard for Ginebra import Justin Brownlee.
"I'm still guarding Brownlee for pretty much the whole game. (I'm going to) focus on that," he said. "The guy's a beast. I'm trying to do everything I can to make it hard for him."
Dillinger knows it will be hard, but the Meralco gunner will try nonetheless.
"I hope we win the championship. It wouldn’t be much of a rivalry if they win again," he said.
