BATANGAS City - James Yap showed that he's still one of the deadliest marksman in the league by reclaiming his PBA Three-Point Shootout title on Friday at the Batangas City Sports Center.

The Rain or Shine star beat GlobalPort's Stanley Pringle and TNT's Terrence Romeo in the final round, making all but one of his moneyballs for 24 points to match his elimination round tally.

Pringle finished with 21 while Romeo had just 16.

"Pwede pa rin pala. Pwede pa," said Yap, who last won the All-Star sidelight back in 2009.

"Sobrang happy ko after nine years nakuha ko ulit," said the former league MVP. "Everyday sa practice may extra shooting. Nadadala din siguro sa three-point shootout."

Romeo was actually sizzling in the first round, finishing second to Yap's 24 with 23. Pringle had 22 to edge out close pursuers Matthew Wright of Phoenix and Ronald Tubid of Columbian Dyip who both notched 20.

Last year's champion Allein Maliksi fizzled out in the first round after getting just 13 points.
