JAMES Yap's groin injury has recurred.
Rain or Shine confirmed on Monday that Yap hurt his groin anew during the team's 69-68 loss to defending champion Magnolia in a PBA Governors Cup game last week.
"He's out for at least two weeks yata," said coach Caloy Garcia of the 37-year-old two-time MVP.
Yap sustained the injury in the second quarter after hitting a shot off Magnolia import Romeo Travis.

The veteran forward momentarily stopped after feeling some pain in his groin following the play. He hobbled downcourt before being taken out of the game.
By halftime Garcia was told Yap couldn't play anymore.
"Hindi niya na raw kaya. Masakit daw. So we didn't want to gamble with that," said the Rain or Shine coach.
Yap already dealt with the same injury during the Commissioner's Cup when he missed the latter part of the eliminations and the entire playoffs, where the Elasto Painters reached as far as the semifinals.
"The last time na nagka-groin injury siya medyo nagtagal. So I don't know how bad this is," said Garcia.
If Yap does sit out for two weeks, he'll likely miss Rain or Shine's next three games starting this Wednesday against Phoenix, followed by Alaska, and then Blackwater.
The Elasto Painters had lost two in a row for a 1-3 record in a tie with NorthPort for ninth to 10th places.
