JAMES Yap was non-committal about his future in the PBA at the end of Rain or Shine’s Commissioner’s Cup campaign.
Yap, who will turn 42 on February 15, said he has made no decision yet on whether to continue playing. His one-conference contract with the Elasto Painters is about to expire following the team's ouster from the playoffs.

“Wala pa,” said the two-time league MVP in a brief chat with reporters after he emerged from the dugout moments after a 122-127 loss to San Miguel ended the Elasto Painters' title bid.
Head coach Yeng Guiao said he has no information about Yap’s future.
“Wala pa naman kasi ‘yung level nung usapan kay James, nasa management ‘yun. Hindi naman sa akin natatapos ‘yun. We will see what happens but I will have to defer to our bosses regarding James’ situation,” said Guiao.
Guiao though said Yap is very much open to play for Rain or Shine next conference.
“Wala namang problema ‘yun sa akin,” said Guiao.

Yap played three games with the Elasto Painters in the Commissioner’s Cup where he averaged 5.0 points per game. He last saw action on January 14 where he scored nine points and went 3-of-3 from threes against Converge.
