THIS Christmas is different for James Yap as he gets to spend it at home and not on the basketball court, and his partner Michella Cazzola is all the more happy for it.
After the two-time PBA MVP was traded from Star to Rain or Shine in October, Yap will no longer play in the December 25 playdate.
Unlike the past three years of celebrating the holidays together at the Big Dome or at the MOA Arena, Mic is happier that James will spend the most wonderful time of the year at home, especially with their baby boy, Michael James.
"Of course mas masaya (this year)," she said. "We're gonna spend it first time as a family, we're just gonna stay home with the baby and finally this year Christmas is home."
Yap’s Italian girlfriend, who will celebrate many firsts in her life, is planning something simple and quiet for their family.
"Well of course now that we have a baby, Christmas will be family time, playing with the baby, cooking, just a simple and quiet family time," she said.
"Quiet celebration lang, I'm still thinking what to do maybe lasagna and steak," added Mic, who revealed some of James' favorites. "I also cook different kinds of pasta, with meat balls sometimes with truffles, those are his favorites."
