JAMES Yap was ecstatic and almost in disbelief after his sons Bimby Aquino-Yap and Michael James finally met for the first time, as posted by his former wife Kris Aquino on social media last Saturday.
In a phone interview with PEP.ph on Sunday, the Rain or Shine new boy recalled how he was stunned when Aquino sent him a text message asking if she and their nine-year-old son Bimby can drop by to meet his almost three-month-old baby Michael James with fiancé Michela Cazzola.
“Nagulat ako na bigla na lang siya nag-text. Sabi ko, ‘Totoo ba ‘to?’ Nagulat talaga ako,” Yap said.
“Ayun, at least okay naman. Sobrang saya kahapon [October 22]. Sobrang saya ko dahil nakita ni Bimby yung baby brother nya,” he added.
Yap shared how Bimby was excited to meet his baby brother.
“Pagdating, gusto niya umakyat agad sa taas, gusto niya makita. So sobrang happy. Nilalaro niya. Hinahawakan niya. Tapos sabi niya, ‘He looks like me. He looks like me!,’” said Yap, adding that Kris and Bimby stayed for almost two hours.
“Tuwang-tuwa ako kasi nilalaro ni Bimbs yung baby. Tapos nung patulog na, umakyat pa siya ulit. Tiningnan niya, ganyan. Sinusubaybayan ko lang siya. Nakita ko masaya siya na nakita niya yung baby brother niya. Nagri-react ang baby. Nag-smile siya kay Bimby,” he added.
