DON'T be surprised to see James Forrester in a TnT Katropa jersey when it battles defending champion San Miguel Beer in the PBA Philippine Cup Sunday night.
From practice player, Forrester was elevated to the active roster by the Katropa in time for their 6:45 p.m. match against the Beermen at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The team relegated David Semerad to the injured list, paving the way for the activation of the 29-year-old Forrester, who last played for NorthPort during the 2017 season.
The Katropa is coming off an 85-80 win over NLEX after opening their campaign in the season-opening meet with two straight losses.
Forrester, the 4th overall pick by Barangay Ginebra in the 2013 draft, was actually the sixth Fil-foreign player in TnT's lineup, but made it to the lineup when Semerad was sidelined.
Under league rules, teams are allowed to have a maximum of five Fil-foreign players in their respective roster.
After two seasons with Barangay Ginebra, Forrester also suited up for Phoenix, NLEX, and Blackwater.
Left out last season by PBA teams, Forrester took his act to the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) and briefly played for the Formosa Dreamers before suffering an injury.
