MAGNOLIA guard Jalalon denied an accusation from Alex Compton that he punched somebody from Alaska during Game Four of the 2018 PBA Governors Cup Finals, which the Aces won, 90-76.
Compton hit out at Hotshots veteran Mark Barroca's closed-fist blow to Chris Banchero's groin and said it was not an isolated incident, accusing other Magnolia players of hitting his players.
Barroca was fined P50,000 for the blow but was spared from suspension.
"We have an officiating crew that perhaps did not see that [Barroca hit on Bachero], I understand that maybe they can't see everything," Compton said. "But Jio punched us, somebody punched Mike [Harris], somebody punched Chris in the testicles."
"At what point is that gonna get called?"
Jalalon, who was one of the Gilas Pilipinas players suspended for the ugly brawl against Australia brawl last July, denied Compton's accusation.
The Magnolia guard said he won't do such a thing, insisting that he has learned his lesson since being caught punching Nathan Sobey at the height of the Gilas-Aussie brawl, for which he was suspended for five games by Fiba.
"Alam naman natin na may nangyari na sa akin sa Gilas wala na yun, nag-move on na ako dun at umiiwas na talaga ako sa mga ganung part. Move on," said Jalalon.
"Hindi ako nanununtok. Nasa technique kasi, piine-pressure nila kami, siguro natutulak lang pero di ko na gagawin 'yun sa buong buhay ko. Di ko na gagawin," he added.
Jalalon however was quick to issue an apology to coach Alex Compton and the Aces.
"Darating naman talaga 'yun kasi finals, sino bang magpapatalo sa ganitong laro, di ba? Siyempre pangalawang family ko si kuya Mark [Barroca], di naman kami nanakit, laro lang laro. Kung may nagawa kaming mali sa court, sorry," said Jalalon.
"Sorry coach kung ganun man. Wala akong magagawa kung ganun ang reaction nya dun."
