COLUMBIAN beat NorthPort, 97-83, on Monday morning in a tune-up at The Hardcourt in Paranaque City.
Jackson Corpuz had 18 points, while Jeramy King had 12 points for the Dyip in their first tune-up game in preparation for the 44th season of the PBA.
Rookies CJ Perez and JP Calvo gave a good account of themselves in their first PBA tune-up game, scoring 10 and eight points respectively for the Dyip.
The match featured the No. 1 and No. 3 picks in the draft but the battle between Perez and Bolick became a mere footnote with Columbian pulling away in the second half.
Bolick matched Perez’s 10 points.
Stanley Pringle had 16 points for the NorthPort, who were trailing 80-62 after the third quarter after being down by just three points, 52-49, at the half.
