TnT import Ivan Johnson apologizes to Compton but tight-lipped on what triggered shouting match

    Mar 22, 2015

TALK ‘N Text import Ivan Johnson hurriedly left the Smart-Araneta Coliseum following the shouting match that marred the PBA Commissioners’ Cup game between the Tropang Texters and Alaska on Sunday night.

Spin.ph tried to get the side of the prolific import on his heated exchange of words with Alaska’s Calvin Abueva, and later with coach Alex Compton. But he refused to say anything as he was whisked out by security personnel to his waiting service vehicle at the parking lot of the Big Dome.

MVP Sports media liason Virgil Villavicencio said Johnson and the team would rather not make an official statement on the matter while emotions are still high.

“Hindi na muna ngayon, masyado pang mainit yung sitwasyon,” he said.

Johnson though immediately approached Compton as soon as he emerged from the Talk `N Text dugout as the two embraced.

"I apologized on my end," Johnson told Compton.
