NLEX's worst-kept secret was finally confirmed on Monday.
The Road Warriors named PBA legend Jimmy Alapag as its new head coach beginning in the season-ending Governors' Cup, replacing Jong Uichico.

No less than PLDT chairman and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan welcomed the 48-year-old Alapag when he signed on for his first-ever head coaching job in Asia's first ever play-for-pay league at the Meralco Bldg in Ortigas.
Also present during the signing were NLEX president Luis Renon and team governor Ronald Dulatre.
