HEALTH woes continued to pile up for GlobalPort after absorbing its second straight loss in the PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday, a 108-98 decision at the hands of Mahindra.

Already without Terrence Romeo (intestinal flu), Jay Washington (knee), and Joseph Yeo (ankle), the Batang Pier also saw Stanley Pringle head straight to St. Luke’s Quezon City to get I.V. drip and avoid dehydration from a bum stomach.

“I have to go to the hospital,” Pringle said as he granted a short interview to scribes, who walked with him as he made his way out of the Big Dome.

Pringle did finish the game as he scored 19 points, issued three assists, and grabbed one board in 31 minutes, but admitted he missed backcourt partner Terrence Romeo, who was out with intestinal flu.

“We definitely missed Terrence tonight,” Pringle said.

Without one-half of their explosive guard combination, the Batang Pier had a tough time against the emergent Enforcers, who forced them to 19 turnovers, including two crucial ones down the stretch.
