KELLY Williams wasn’t good to go for Game 5 of the TNT-Rain or Shine PBA Philippine Cup semifinals due to his swollen ankle.
The Tropang 5G no longer risked playing the 43-year-old former MVP despite the fact the Tropang 5G were going for a closeout in their best-of-seven series Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Williams was not on the TNT bench in the 113-97 loss that cut its series lead to 3-2.

“Medyo maga pa,” said Tropang 5G physical therapist Dexter Aseron.
The Fil-Am big man went down with the injury in the first half of Game 4 which TNT won, 108-92, that put it within reach of making it back to the finals for the third time this season.
Calvin Oftana also has swollen ankle, but managed to play through the pain and finished with a team-high 23 points on 8-of-16 field goal shooting, including four from the three-point line.
Williams is the latest TNT player to join the team’s injury list that already has the likes of Jayson Castro, Rey Nambatac, Jielo Razon, and RR Pogoy.

It's still uncertain whether the veteran big man will be able to suit up for the the Tropang 5G when they try to finish off the series for the second time on Sunday.
TNT, likewise, missed the services of coach Chot Reyes, who served out a one-game suspension after incurring his fifth technical foul in the conference.
