THERE is still no definite date for his return, but Talk ’N Text forward Jared Dillinger is aching to return to action after watching helplessly from the bench while his team absorbed an embarrassing 85-116 loss to Rain or Shine.
"I can't wait to be healthy and to play again and get back on the winning track," said Dilinger, who is out with a severe bone bruise on the left knee and swollen left Achilles.
The Texters were outscored, outhustled and outplayed by Rain or Shine, the same team they had beaten in the Philippine Cup Finals in a 4-0 sweep.
"If only me and Ryan Reyes were healthy, we could've helped the team," added Dillinger, who should be back sooner than initially thought after scans revealed there was no ACL injury.
Reyes is also out due to a sprained knee sustained in the March 13 game against Rain or Shine.
"If we were there, we could have played defense against Gabe (Norwood) and Paul Lee," he said. "Because me and Ryan usually provide the energy for the team."
Talk ’N Text, which has an even record of 5-5, shares fourth spot with San Mig Coffee, Barangay Ginebra and Air21.
Despite the huge loss, Dilinger has high respect for the Elasto Painters.
"They took it to us," he said. "They played with a lot of energy and they made their shots."
