TNT stretched its winning streak to four games after methodically beating a skidding Alaska side, 92-78, on Friday night in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Astrodome in Pasay City.
The KaTropa claimed their sixth win in nine matches to move up to a share of third place with San Miguel, assuring themselves a place in the quarterfinals.
RR Pogoy had 24 points and converted five of his seven three-point attempts for the KaTropa, who also held the Aces to only 31 percent from the field.

“There is still a lot of work to do,” said TNT coach Bong Ravena. “We are just focusing on our mentality. Kami, we just have to be consistent especially our defense.”
Troy Rosario scored 15 points while Kelly Williams had 11 rebounds and nine assists for TNT, which led by as many as 20 points in the one-sided contest.
Carl Bryan Cruz topscored with 19 points for the struggling Aces, who fell behind after an 11-2 TNT run to end the first quarter and never recovered.
