Sangalang said it wasn’t intentional on his part as Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao previously insisted.
“Para manakit ng player, wala sa bokabolaryo ko yun,” said Sangalang on Tuesday after the Hotshots forged a do-or-die game for the last two remaining semifinals berth with a 129-100 rout of the Elasto Painters in Game 4 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
“Yung sinasabi na sinadya ko yun, wala naman sa akin yun kasi alam ko naman yung totoo. Hindi ko ginawa yun,” added the former NCAA MVP out of San Sebastian, who finished with 10 points and five rebounds in the 29-point rout.
Also expected to be fined are Magnolia coach Chito Victolero and star guard Paul Lee for confroting the game and technical officials following Rain or Shine’s thrilling 111-106 overtime win over Magnolia in Game 3 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
