RONDAE Hollis-Jefferson may still be in his recovery phase with his own Achilles injury, but he’s still delivering key assists for TNT.
The three-time PBA champion and Best Import was apparently instrumental in connecting new TNT import Chris McCullough to the Tropang 5G organization after an untimely Achilles injury to Bol Bol just last Friday.

McCullough was visible on the social media platform X and was even dropping hints about possibly playing for TNT. RHJ heeded his call – and the rest is history.
“It’s Rondae. Rondae called me and he made it happen. That’s the end of the story,” McCullough said.
The 31-year-old forward returns to the country for the first time since leading San Miguel against TNT of all teams back in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
The irony of the situation isn’t lost on McCullough at all – but for him it’s all in the past now. He’s with the Tropang 5G now, and he promises to be at his best for them.
“It’s crazy I know playing with them, I’m taking it one day at a time. They welcomed me in the locker room, they welcomed me here so it should be good. I’m ready to play,” McCullough said.
“They just got a great win. Hopefully we can carry it on to the next game. Tomorrow I’ll attend practice and run plays a little bit, get familiar with my teammates,” he continued.
“When I step on the court on Wednesday it will hit me a little bit differently but I’m just happy to be here, ready to be out here and play.”
Coming after an import like Bol Bol will certainly be a tough act to follow, but McCullough isn’t even planning on putting up the same type of numbers for TNT.
It’s all about finding a way to fit in quickly with this team and doing whatever the needs from him.
“It’s sad to see an injury like that. Hopefully he gets back home, gets surgery and gets back to the scene but I’m just gonna help this team win and possibly do what I can do which is to play basketball.”
