SPORTS5 has released its broadcast schedule for the PBA Governors Cup, which will have as much as six playdates a week as the pro league rushes to finish its season to give way to Gilas Pilipinas' buildup for the Fiba World Cup in Spain and the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
Weekday games to be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will have the first game of every double-header being shown live on AksyonTV, TV5's sister channel on the UHF band, and on a delayed basis on TV5 beginning at 11 p.m.
The second game of weekday double-headers will be shown live over TV5.
Both games to be played on Saturdays and Sundays will be carried live over TV5 by Sports5, the sports division of the MVP-owned network which has been broadcasting the PBA games since 2011.
On the other hand, the 'Kuwentong Gilas' program - which recounts the exploits of the national team and its players - has been moved to a new timeslot every Thursday beginning at 9:30 p.m. to fill the only day of the week that the PBA will be on a break.
Gilas forward Ranidel de Ocampo will be featured in the May 22 episode titled, “Ang Pamana.”
PBA in High Definition continues on Cignal Channel 199 every PBA game day. Encore telecast of the game is available on HYPER, the 24/7 sports channel, available on Cignal and cable providers nationwide.
