HAYDEN Blankley failed to hide his frustration following Bay Area Dragons’ heartbreaking 89-82 loss to Barangay Ginebra, hitting out at what he believed was unfair officiating in Game 3 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals Wednesday night.
In his myday post on Instagram, Blankley asked for fairness in the best-of-seven finals after the Dragons blew a 59-45 lead late in the third quarter following a furious Ginebra comeback in the fourth before a roaring crowd of 15,004 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Got nothing but love for the Philippines and its people, but at this point it’s obvious, just let it be a fair game, please,” said the Bay Area forward.

Blankley finished with 10 points and six rebounds, but shot just 4-of-11 from the field in the loss that had the Dragons again trailing in the best-of-seven series, 1-2.
Coach Brian Goorjian also made a hint about officiating ruining what earlier appeared to be a won game for the Dragons, but refused to categorically say anything about it.
A total of 38 free throws were awarded to the Kings, while the Dragons only attempted 10 times from the same area.
