ALEAH Finnegan will serve as muse of the Meralco Bolts in the opener of the PBA 49th Season, the team announced on Friday.
Finnegan is coming off a stint in the 2024 Paris Olympics where she competed in women's artistic gymnastics.
“As we gear up for another exciting PBA season, we are honored to celebrate the achievements of Filipino athletes like Aleah Finnegan,” said the team in a statement.
“Her journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and the relentless spirit that drives us all. The Meralco Bolts look forward to standing alongside Aleah as we continue to electrify the court and inspire our fans,” the team’s statement also read.
This is not the first time that Meralco picked an athlete to become its muse for the PBA's opening ceremony after triathlete Kim Mangrobang was also selected for the 2022 opener.
The 21-year-old Finnegan, a two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, was among three female gymnasts who competed in the Paris Olympics where she placed 47th. She competed for the Philippines alongside Levi Jung-Ruivivar and Emma Malabuyo.
