WHAT a way for popular rookie Chris Tiu to make his PBA comeback game.
Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao plans to field the former Ateneo guard on Sunday when the Elasto Painters battle the Barangay Ginebra Kings in a potentially explosive PBA Philippine Cup match up at the Araneta Coliseum.
“If ever, baka ipasok ko siya for a few minutes, (give him the opportunity to) get the feel of the crowd and the atmosphere,” said the fiery coach in a talk with Spin.ph
Tiu injured his hamstring during his first game as a pro last October 3 against Petron Blaze.
The No. 7 overall pick in the last draft left the game playing for just six minutes in the first half, scoring just two points and had two assists in the match the Elasto Painters won, 102-86.
Still the decision will rest on how exactly healthy the former Smart Gilas team captain is.
“Sabi ni Chris sa akin, sasabihan niya daw ako kung okay na siya,” Guiao said.
